with superhero me & S.E.A aquarium singapore
A Christmas ODDySEA at S.E.A aquarium Singapore was an art exhibition hosted in collaboration with Superhero Me, Rainbow Centre Singapore and S.E.A aquarium.
It was held from 25 Nov 2023 to 7 Jan 2024.
The exhibiton featured 5 collaborative artworks by artists from Superhero Me and students from Rainbow Centre Singapore.
I collaborated with Yap Zhao Hang from Rainbow Centre for the 2nd time :-)
The Kelp Forest Parade
'The kelp forest parade' was exhibited by the kelp forest habitat for the Vermilion rockfishes.

The long, tapestry-like 2D animation was projected on the walls along the corridor next to the habitat. I was inspired by Christmas rugs and tapestries for this projection, making use of repetition and flat colours.

Zhao Hang and I had lots of fun decorating the rockfishes, getting them dressed up for the Christmas parade. Zhao Hang made sure to add his 2 pet cats to the kelp tree too if you can spot them ;)
Candy Cane Celebration
'Candy Cane Celebration' was exhibited at the Lion fish habitat.

Also going with the theme of Christmas rugs, this work was in the form of a ~3 by 4m floor decal. Inspired by Wimmelbilderbuch art (like Finding Wally!), I wanted the audience to be able to quite literally step into the party and discover the little stories within this big work.
